Frosty Bench

Caught this bench moments after a squall ended. For those in warmer climates, a squall is an intense snowstom which is characterized by very large flakes resulting in an almost total "white out," that is, little or no visibility, as well as, very high and gusting winds. A squall lasts about 10 minutes and vanishes. This one dropped about one half an inch of snow which promptly blew away.

And what in the world were you doing out in the middle of a squall? Don't you know you should be huddled by the fireplace drinking hot cocoa?

Of course then you would have missed this shot and wouldn't have had anything to post and we would all have been the poorer for it.

And photographers are a little goofy anyway, so I'm glad you braved the elements! :-)

Jacob's reasoning is fine, but once in a while I'd like to 'taste' a squall, camera at hand.
