Saw this lovely carousel horse on a visit to Nantasket Beach which is a mere fourteen miles from the City of Boston but is directly on the Atlantic. This carousel dates from 1928 and was once in an amusement park called Paragon. Paragon Park closed in 1984 to make wasy foir beachfront condos. Only this carousel remains.Thursday, November 5, 2009

Saw this lovely carousel horse on a visit to Nantasket Beach which is a mere fourteen miles from the City of Boston but is directly on the Atlantic. They used to be everywhere but so few remain.
We are digging again interred canals, may be one day condos will be demolished to build amusement park!
